It’s always a little sad when we finish a project and turn the keys over to the rightful owner(s). Almost like dropping off a child at college. Well, not quite the same. We spend a lot of time, care and dedication when it comes to building a home. We see the glimmer in the homeowners eyes when we sit across from each other at the architect’s office. We hear how the family will use each room and space. We hear about pets, sports & extracurricular activities. Often times we meet the children and extended family members. We help families put their dreams on paper and eventually start following the directions on the construction documents. Those prints dictate what we can and cannot do. They are the families desires and dreams. Before you know it, the painters come in for final touch ups, and then the cleaners come in to make everything sparkle. And then it’s time.
Time to deliver those keys. Those keys hold a great deal of meaning. Once they are placed in the hands of the family, it’s time for us to go and leave a labor of love behind. We can only hope and pray that these families have seen their dreams come to life and enjoy their home for a very, very long time.
I’ll leave you with a few pictures of our latest project.
